As Lord Eldon knocked Ser Stannis Mandrake from his seat, the entire crowd silently scowled at the upset, well almost the entire crowd. A devilish grin crept across Ser Daeron's face as Eldon's arrogance gave him an opportunity to strike. If he wishes to play knight, then I will show him what it means to face a knight. Some hours later, Wildfyre seeks out the attention of Ser Roger Wode, the tourney master, to see what might be done to give the spectators a show that they will remember. Ser Roger barely acknowledges Ser Daeron, busy as he is keeping count on who's still in the competition, with a particular eye to Ulbert Blackwood and Otho Bracken, they should not be unleashed on anyone remotely related to their rivals.

“In the Reach we hand problematic jousters over to Ser Manfryd, he usually removes them from the contest and so far has survived the worst of them. Or just give the people the spectacle they want and pit them against one another. That’s what this is all about, right spectacle?”Pulling him aside for a moment so they can have some privacy away from his aides, his voice drops to a quieter tone. “If you’d like to create a truly memorable tourney though, might I suggest pairing me against Lord Eldon Merryweather?”

Ser Roger gets all red-faced and flustered. "First some whelp tries to embarrass me by sneaking The Anvil Knight onto the roster, and now you want my help in perpetuating your feud? he shakes his fist with anger. "Just because I have Brackens and Blackwoods to worry about does not mean that I have failed to take note of what transpired at Highgarden, now get out before I figure that Wildfyre against Blackfyre is the right kind of spectacle!"

Does Daeron keep his shit together? Bringing Home the Bacon-Self Control TN 16: 6d6k4 15 He does not..
Daeron's eyes flare in anger at being denied. How dare this servant of Lord Butterfat deny him? He hisses threateningly at the man capable of making this tourney a living hell for him. "Don't you know what happens to men who stand between a dragon and its quarry? I suggest that you reconsider your decision. Perhaps you might benefit from it?"With that he pulls a small purse from his belt and leaves it on the table adjacent to Ser Roger.
Daeron will be using his new super-powered Intimidate to force him into a Simple Intrigue (unless he happens to be Status 5 or higher) with the objective of scaring him into taking the offered bribe and to set him up against Lord Eldon in Round 2. He will also be spending a point of Influence as he sees this as in House Starling's interest. Bringing Home the Bacon-Persuasion (Intimidate)+Influence: 7d6k5+4 25Offers bribe worth 10 GD (2100 ss)

Ser Roger is taken aback by that, most knight would back down, but not this one of the Blood of the Dragon, he tries to put up a certain sullen defiance, but mostly he does as he is told, muttering about some squire not present getting the blame for this lapse of judgement, discreetly passing a dragon to each of his four aides.
22 vs 17 (11+6 for circumstances) is 2 DoS, acts as amiable for the scene, then disposition drops by 4 once Daeron leaves.

Giving a bow, he offers his thanks to Ser Roger and praises his understanding in the matter before departing out of the back of the tent. No need to have too many eyes watching his comings and goings. Once he returns to his own lodgings he collapses in a chair, having broken out in a cold sweat.
Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. What in the Seven Hells was that Daeron? Even if he gives me Eldon in Round 2, he's going to fuck me with the Stranger's spiny cock in Round 3.
"Shit." He whispered to himself as he started to collect Ember's barding.
