Not sure why Balon would've let Vortimer anywhere near Vorian and the prisoners but whatever.
Can I get a generic description of this scene? Number of my men. Number of captives. How close the horse(s) are. Where is Ser Horas. And is the 'either I attack him or the mooks attack him' a narrative choice or why can't we both?

You're overthinking it.

Hey, I get to overthink things when an NPC has equal or better base combat abilities than me. lol Balon didn't know who to be more enraged at, Vortimer or Vorian. The attack had gone off perfectly and now that foolish, naive bastard was about to ruin everything. "Kill the prisoners, sound the alarm!" Balon shouted to his men. He turned towards Vorian, "I deal with this cunt myself." He drew his sword and met Ser Vorian in combat. CD: 14 (17) AR: 10 HP: 12/12 F/I/W: 0/0/0 Will use Fatigue to ignore AP when attacked. "Your move?" It almost feels like Ser Vorian is grinning under his helm.

I'm not charging so he shouldn't get the +2 damage when 'Setting for a Charge" Well at least it isn't Ser Dagos and his spear fuckery.CD: 20 (14 +3 Fatigue, +3 Cautious) AR: 10 HP: 12/12, Tough F/I/W: 0/0/0 Will use Fatigue to ignore AP when attacked. Ser Vorian seems to be loving this, hard to tell with the helmet, and he makes no sound. But one could easily imagine a silent reply of "Spear? Nah, us knights of House Dayne fucks little Reacher cunts like you with our swords!" Counterattack: 8d6k4+1 22 is 2 DoS for 12-10=2 damage. Cutting die for Bastard Sword: 1d8 6 that was an unkept. Knockdown: 6d6k4 15Cautious Shield Smash: 8d6k4+1 20 That's 7 damage to Balon's shield. CD: 16 (13) AR: 10 Health 12

My CD was 20 for Round 1 (14 base +3 Cautious technique +3 to ignore AP) so 1 DoS, no damage. CD: 12 (14 +3 Fatigue, -5 Reckless) AR: 10 HP: 12/12, Tough F/I/W: 1/0/0 Damage: 5 / DoS Will use Fatigue to ignore AP when attacked. Phase 2, Vulture Hunt, R2 vs. Vorian, Maneuver + Reckless: 9d6k6+1 29, 2 DoS vs. Passive Fighting 24. +5 Damage, -1D to Vorian's rolls next turn.Phase 2, Vulture Hunt, R2 vs. Vorian, Reckless Attack: 9d6k6+1 28, 3 DoS +5, 20-10 AR = 10 DamageBalon had flashbacks to his duel with Ser Dagos and the anger he'd pent up from that so-called honor duel boiled to the surface. With a rage filled yell he swung at Vorian, putting the Dornishman off balance and finding a small gap in his armor. He'd planned to give him a quick clean death. Now he wanted him to feel every slash, every stab, every bit of his life force draining from him.

Vorian changes tactics, giving Balon a rap on the helm that rings his ears and begins circling the field, Balon's men are happy enough to let him deal with this foe until ordered otherwise, Ser Vorian is good, not as good as Balon of course, no Dornishman is, but good enough to give these hedge knights and freeriders a good scare, though Balon could have them swarm him, there being a score of them and one Ser Vorian. The Dornishman would likely take a few with him, however.
In that case you took 2 fatigue, as you'd have to take 1 against the counterattack on your turn, and 1 against the attack on his turn. CD: 16 (13) AR: 10 Health 2/12 Regular Attack: 8d6k4+1 21 2*7-10=4 damage Moves away.

Technique: Cautious CD: 17 (14 +3 Cautious) AR: 10 HP: 8/12, Tough F/I/W: 2/0/0 Damage: 5 / DoS __________________________________________________________
After Vorian backed away Balon mentally groaned. I really need to be more agile on my feet. This whole getting knocked down thing is getting fucking old.
With a grunt of effort Balon stood up, ready to face whatever Ser Vorian had in mind.
GA: Stand up. Auto-success.

Technique: Cautious CD: 17 (14 +3 Cautious) AR: 10 HP: 8/12, Tough F/I/W: 2/0/0 Damage: 5 / DoS ______________________________________________________________ "Close ranks!" Balon bellowed to his men. He'd be damned if this was going to be a repeat of the duel with Ser Dagos. "If the chicken keeps running, skewer him."The men-at-arms are to form a perimeter. If Vorian moves away again they attack/keep him boxed in. No more running away. The men looks on confused, not understanding what Balon wants them to do. Vorian appears to be slipping, however.
Something complex like that would require a Greater Action, easy enough to tell them to charge. CD: 11 (13) AR: 10 Health 2/12 Fatigue 1 Counterattack: 7d6k5+1 18Reckless attack: 8d6k6 19Reckless Maneuver: 8d6k5 23Takes fatigue to ignore AP if attacked

Technique: Reckless CD: 9 (14 - 5 Reckless) AR: 10 HP: 8/12, Tough F/I/W: 2/0/0 Damage: 5 / DoS ______________________________________________________________ Phase 2, Vulture Hunt, R5 vs. Vorian, Maneuver + Reckless: 8d6k5+1 23, I think I needed a 24.Phase 2, Vulture Hunt, R5 vs. Vorian, Reckless Attack: 9d6k6+1 27, 4 DoS, 20 - 10 AR = 10 Damage, Triggers FatigueNot that it matters much but just so I understand Vorian is using a hedge knight's sword which happens to be superior quality? Balon was surprised by how weak the consecutive blows were by Ser Vorian. Perhaps I've hurt him more than I realize? Not wanting to back down Balon kept up the assault, doing his best to keep him off balance before swinging wildly at his hip hoping to find a gap between his cuirass and leggings.
